• To obtain practical exposure to architecture I was fortunate to be in the design team at Design Forum Associates from January 2000–November 2008. DF is one of most prestigious architectural consortium in Sri Lanka. During my tenure at DF I was gradually exposed to the complexities of building design and eventually graduated to be a junior architect whilst still a student. In this capacity I had to make challenging design decisions on commercial, educational and residential projects and interiors. As DF was a consortium practice comprising of structural engineers, electrical and mechanical engineers, quantity surveyors, I received a wholesome exposure to a building project.

2009 – 2010

• From November 2008 to up to date, I was employed at SudarshanaSenadeera Architect pvt ltd – Chartered Architects. I was part of the design team that developed the biggest supermarket chain in Sri Lanka. This was a memorable exposure, which gave me insight to the design of commercial spaces for day to day life. Furthermore at I gained considerable experience in the designing of resort hotels acclimatized for the tropical environment.
